 | BOUQUETS - Take care when removing the cellophane. This is sometimes used as a reservoir for water to keep your bouquet fresh during delivery. Cut the stem at an angle about 3cms from the end. Place in deep water and stand in a cool, shady place for an hour and more. Fill the vase with water, add flower food and place the flowers into the vase. Keep your flowers in a cool location away from droughts, direct heat or sunlight. Top up regularly with water and flower food.

 | ROSES - If the rose starts to droop at the head,re-cut the stem, wrap the head in paper to support upright and plunge 5cms of stem into boiling water for about 30 seconds. Cut the stem again and place in deep cold water for 2 hours.

 | LILIES - Lily pollen can stain. Please carefully remove lily stamens from any newly opening blooms and avoid direct contact. |
 | Always use clean vases or containers. This will prevent any bacteria from ruining the quality of the flowers. |
 | Remove all of the leaves which will be under the water while in the vase. Leaves that are submerged will rot, thus creating bacteria and shortening the life span of your flowers. |
 | Never place your floral arrangements in full sun or over a radiator. This will cause excess water loss from the flowers, and they will wilt very quickly. For a maximum life span the best place for your flowers is in a cool room. |
 | GERBRAS - While holding the stems under water in a sink or under running water, cut about one inch off each stem with a sharp knife or shears. DO NOT let the newly cut end dry off before transferring it back to your arrangement or other container |
 | TULIPS - Leave tulips in the wrap and place in a vase of water under a light source, for about an hour before arranging. This will help to keep the tulips upright for longer. Tulips tend to curve towards the light.
Remove any leaves that may be under water.
